I think Christian Bale is an outstanding actor...& person. Look back on American Psycho,Empire of the Sun, The Machinist,Equilibrium,etc., I feel HE should be nominated for an academy award. Can't understand why he has not been to date.
Seems to me his mom choregraphed this debacle from the get go. Come on, your son's premier night to ask for money for chrissakes! Shows you where her heart is.

Yes, I like Christian Bale, one of the most talented actors of all time . Check out all his movies- not Just American Psycho and Batman.
In over 20 years you have never read a bad word about him and now that this movie is a huge blockbuster, all the roaches are coming out of the woodwork. He has been a class act all his life, for all we know he has been supporting his mother since he was a child actor. He has only recently been making good money. He priorities now are with his lovely wife & daughter. As far as his looks he is one of the few actors that look good on and off screen. He is the real deal, not like other celebrities that are constantly promoting their selves--anything to be in the public eye. Bale is very private, and from all the movie premieres i have seen with him and his wife since 2000 -they always look happy together-good body language! The media has spun this out of control, disgusting. For years I have read where he is the kindest, quietest,
polite actor on the set of his movies-and now with the Dark Knight
the haters come out to bash him-sad!

The thing that gets me is people DID make it sound like he beat the hell out of his poor mother and sister. Two women who, by everything I've heard, he isn't close to, come to his hotel room on the night of a premier when things are already stressful and crazy and ask for money. When he gets mad (uh, duh) they go after his wife? And from the sound of it, it was the two of them against him, so you know the guy had to feel cornered and ganged up upon.

It's sickening to me, honestly.

As far as his other behavior, everyone has bad days. And now he's having to deal with people constantly in his face about someone who he knew very well, from everything being said WAS very close to, who has died. That HAS to be rough.

Anyway, nobody really knows the whole story. We're just being nosy gits and guessing into his personal life.

Sort of sick, really -_-.

Let's be clear- HE DIDN'T HIT ANYONE. IT WAS VERBAL ASSAULT! Can this even be called assault? I feel like the media should HAVE to specify VERBAL because now everyone thinks he HIT his own mother! HE EFFING YELLED AT HER, LET'S MOVE ON!!! WHy do we believe the worst in people always?

Ok people can you actually think about it for a while instead of saying that hes hot...just because hes hot dosent mean hes perfect.He does seem to have a temper as you may have seen ,im not saying anything but he seems a little weird to me.

I think his mom and sister are a bunch of jealous wenches. :) I can't believe they blew a little argument up this big in the midst of his big premier.

I really think this whole thing was blown out of proportion.It was verbal assault not physical.He did the right thing by defending his wife.His sister wanted money to help raise "HER" kids.I know he has a lot of money but her children are not his responsibility.I just want to let Christian know that his fans support him.

You need to get your fax straight; Christian never HIT his mother. He had a verbal argument with her, which in UK is called a verbal assault. I man like Christian cannot just walk out the door, specially since on the other side of the door are fans and Paparazzi.Christian was in UK to PR his film and not get into a verbal argument with his family, they came to his hotel asking for money and when he said no, they attacked his wife. Christian did the right thing and defended his wife. A mother is not in your life forever; nor is every mother right or sane at times. I am sure when the whole story is told you will regret your absurd accusation.

So Bale's well-known temper and bad treatment of family and friends is now becoming public. Big whoop. Why do fans think that their onscreen heroes are perfect?

OMG, he is normal and fights with his mother and sister? Why are people against him? He yelled at his mother and sister, they most likely deserved it...big deal. She was probably trying to take more of his money. He stood up for his wife and he didn't hit his mother there yakaty yak..learn how to read. You say he should respect her, well it goes both ways. She wouldn't have even been in that hotel if it wasn't for Christian's sucess and his money paying for it. I am big fan of Christian's and I always will be. Stay strong Christian!

When I married we had a similar situation. My husbands mom is a very domineering woman and as much as I tryed to have her as a mother in law and friend, she was always critical of my housekeeping, my job, my attire there was nothing out of bounds with this woman. Finally,after so many times of trying I told my husband to start going over to his parents on his own bc I could not handle it. without my knowledge he spoke with both his parents and told her that as much as he loved her I was his wife and that he (and his dad) had seen how I had bent over backwards trying to please her and she had to decide either she is nice or he would no longer have contact with her as he planned to be wed to me for the rest of his life. It took years his dad would come over and see his grandkids but, not her until just recently. sometimes it is better to separate. I love my husband bc he did it on his own. Although, a part of me wanted him to choose I believe in karma so I kept my silence.

Nobody is saying he's perfect 10:25. We're just saying that maybe he isn't a complete vilian and people need to back off when they don't know the whole story.

F*$% leave him alone let him enjoy the success of the dark knight for atleast a week before everybody gets all up in face. Screw his mom and sister they obviously need $$ and publicity.
