Audrina Patridge is following in Jessica Alba's big screen foot steps.
The Hills star, 22, will appear in Into the Blue 2, the follow-up to Alba's 2005 beach flick.
Patridge plays a no-nonsense, beautiful beach babe whose boyfriend caters to her every command, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The role is "giving me the chance to show people [what I can do]," Patridge, who recently canned her agent for not getting her enough gigs, told Ryan Seacrest on May 8. "This is why I moved to L.A."
Could another Hills feud start? Patridge is the first star from the reality show to begin acting in movies. (Pal Lauren Conrad appeared in 2007's Epic Movie as herself.)
Perhaps.
"The drama is still unfolding," Patridge told Seacrest.
The Hills' season finale airs tonight. Usmagazine.com first reported that the MTV hit was renewed for a fourth season.

WOW Im so happy for her, she is gonna do great I Love Audrina Patridge. I wish her the best of everything in life and cant wait to go see the new movie, I am impressed how much she goes through in life and keeps her chin up,Audrina has been such a great example, to my youngest daughter, she has what it takes to be a Movie Star. I'll watch to see if Audrina's any good, but I can't imagine that she is. She's beautiful and nice but you can just tell she doesn't have acting chops. Lauren's the smart one in that she's doing what she's good at -- fashion, rather than trying to jump on the Hollywood train (which should be reserved for people who actually study acting). Someone even asked her once if she was interested in acting and she said No. How refreshing!
